Edwards On Gay Marriage
On one hand Democrats want the money from gays (some of the party's largest donors) and on the other hand they don't want to seen as too liberal.
This is Mr. Edwards' response to the gay marriage question.
Hillary Goes After Mr. Edwards
I think this means that Edwards is a force come '08. And here is evidence that Mr. Edwards might be the best person to put against the Republican candidate.

Hillary Clinton Is Faster Than John Edwards

The Trial Lawyer
Many believe that Edward's former job can be a slight positive and also a huge negative for his run for the White House.
It is a slight positive because Edwards would receive funds from trial lawyers for his campaign.
It would be a huge negative because many people dislike trial lawyers.
Some believe that a trial lawyer is not the right man for the job of managing America's huge economy. Others slightly disagree and feel that a greater inquiry into how Edwards actually managed the cases he was involved in is needed.

John Edwards' Books
Who Does The Public Want To See Run?
"The first and most impressive result is that no Democrat is in the advantaged lower right part of the figure, while Republicans McCain and Giuliani both are. Of the Democrats, John Edwards comes closest, with Clinton and Obama a bit behind."
The poll is a mixed blessing for Mr. Edwards. Yes, the Mr. Edwards is the top name for the Democrats (so far) but that still makes him only 3rd overall in the poll.

The Timing Of Edwards' Announcement
The Importance Of YouTube
We saw how Edwards used YouTube successfully in announcing that he was running for the presidency. Now I will show the negative side of YouTube. The clip below is from the Tom Delay Blog (yes, that "Tom Delay"... YouTube can be easily used by your political enemies).
Let's just say that this video won't help Mr. Edwards earn much support from voters that want a strong and powerful president.
The following quote from this post really puts the video in prespective:
"What's interesting about the Edwards clip isn't really that Edwards is obsessed with his hair, it's that politics today is so consumed with image, with calculated image, that if Edwards appeard on a news show with messy hair, the media would have been all over him."
But then again... who doesn't like good hair?
UPDATE:
A great article from TownHall.com on the importance of YouTube. Mr. Edwards are you listening??
Edwards Announces His Bid For The Oval Office
What is interesting is before Mr. Edwards went to TV camera crews to announce his candidacy he posted the above video on YouTube. YouTube has been shown to make or break an election (as George Allen found out a few months ago here and here).
This is certainly a sign that Mr. Edwards knows a little bit about the New Media and how it will dominate the upcoming election. (For more information on the New Media check out the book The Way To Win: Taking The White House In 2008. The book does a great job in showing how to handle the all important New Media of bloggers and websites).
